Partnership with the Chen Institute
The French Neuroscience Society, whose aim is to promote and support the development of research in all areas of neuroscience and to contribute to the training of young researchers, is pleased to renew its partnership with the Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute.
The Chen Institute is a science foundation dedicated to advancing our understanding of the full complexity of the brain and mind. The foundation’s mission is implemented through partnerships with world-leading universities and major scientific societies.
This year, the Chen Institute will support 2 travel awards for Ph.D. students working in a laboratory in France to attend the meeting “Neuroscience & artificial intelligence: mechanisms, perspectives and consequences”, to be held in Bordeaux, France, May 23-24, 2024.
This partnership will foster young researchers career development and the dissemination of knowledge in the community.
These awards will be announced during a special ceremony held at the Neuroscience & AI meeting in Bordeaux, France, on May 24, 2024.

2024 Alfred Fessard Lecture
The 2024 Alfred Fessard Lecture will be given by Simon Thorpe (CerCo, CNRS UMR 5549, Toulouse) on friday 24 May 2024 at 9:00am at the Centre Broca Nouvelle-Aquitaine (Bordeaux).
This lecture will be given as part of the Thematic Meeting of the French Neuroscience Society.

26e édition de la Semaine du Cerveau
La Semaine du Cerveau est de retour du 11 au 17 mars !
Les chercheur·e·s rencontrent le grand public et les scolaires pour présenter les dernières découvertes en neurosciences, discuter de leurs questionnements, de la démarche scientifique en ces temps de fausses informations et des enjeux et implications de la connaissance du cerveau.
Plus de 300 événements dans une centaine de villes
Des conférences, du théâtre, des concerts, des expositions, des tables-rondes, des cafés des sciences, des ateliers… et même des escape-games pour se questionner, s’étonner et parfois s’émerveiller.

The French Neuroscience Society, whose aim is to promote and support the development of research in all areas of neuroscience and to contribute to the training of young researchers, is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute.
The Chen Institute is a science foundation dedicated to advancing our understanding of the full complexity of the brain and mind. The foundation’s mission is implemented through partnerships with world-leading universities and major scientific societies.
This year, the Chen Institute will support 3 PhD awards for outstanding PhD works in neuroscience and 2 travel awards for attendance of young foreign researchers to NeuroFrance, the French Neuroscience Society’s meeting, which is the largest neuroscience academic meeting in France.
This partnership will foster young researchers career development and the dissemination of knowledge in the community.
These awards will be announced during a special ceremony held at NeuroFrance in Lyon, France, on May 25, 2023.
