DIRECTOR OF THE ROBERT-DEBRÉ CHILD BRAIN INSTITUTE

The Search Committee of the public research ROBERT-DEBRÉ CHILD BRAIN INSTITUTE, located in Paris, France, invites expressions of interest from qualified candidates for the position of Director. The ICE institute is dedicated to developing new understanding and innovative approaches to the care and education of children with neurodevelopmental disorders. This position is open to researchers (PhD or MD-PhD) with strong scientific leadership, an outstanding track record of achievements, and international recognition. The successful candidate will lead both the institute and cutting-edge translational research through team leadership. This call is openly advertised worldwide.

Salary and start-up package will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and research program, and may include dedicated laboratory space for the research team if needed, along with, opportunities for a clinical appointment, if appropriate.

 

APPLY TO THE CALL

This call has a two-stage selection process. First one is a pre-selection stage on the basis of the expression of interest file at the end of which only the short-listed applicants will be invited in stage 2, to an interview.

The 1st round is open until October 31th. The 2nd round will be in January 2026. This call is subject to 3 rounds in total. The successful candidate is expected to be appointed by the end of 2026, for a four-year term, renewable once. In accordance with French law, candidates must not have reached retirement age (67 years old maximum) before the end of the Director’s term.
